Do you have a particular strategy that you follow when it is time to bet while you are playing blackjack? The typical strategy is to bet
the same amount all the time. This is a beginner’s strategy. You want to find out what the pro strategy is.

You want to have the advantage over the dealer. In order to do this, you have to bet bigger, but you have to know when to do this.

To begin with, whenever you bet you have three choices. You can increase your bet, decrease your bet or you can keep it the same. The key here is to know the right time to make each of those choices. It is all based on knowing how to count the cards. Remember that you will do something different each time that your count score is a certain score.

If you have a minimum score then you will either not bet or you will place the minimum bet.

If your score is a +1 or +2, then you should be the minimum bet. If your score is a +3, +4 or +5, then you’ll place a double bet.

If your score is +6, +7, +8, +9 or +10 then you want to place a triple bet or triple whatever the minimum bet is.

If your score is +11 or higher, then your bet will be 4 times the minimum bet. You will see that if the count is higher, then you are going to bet more. This is true because as the score gets higher, you will have a better chance of getting more of the higher cards. These are better than getting the lower cards.

You get a bonus if you score a 21, so you want to bet more when the higher cards are more likely to hit.

Now always remember that your betting is still going to bet within your budget. In other words you only want to bet an amount that you can afford.

In summary, you want to make sure that you only bet an amount that is in your budget or one that you can afford. Remember that you have no control over the cards that are the house deals. The strategy that we are going over is still subject to the cards that dealt.

If the score is negative, then don’t raise or lower the bet, keep it the same. Stay the same until it the count goes higher.

How You Can Count Cards to Place Your Bet

As a blackjack player, you may want to do some of the things that a professional player does. One of these things is to count cards. When you count cards, you are able to keep track of the decks in the cards.

The high cards offer a better value to the player than the low cards. If you as the player get more of the high cards, then you have a better chance of getting a good hand or actually hitting 21. When we talk about the high cards we are referring to the 10, Jack, Queen and King and Ace. When we refer to the low cards, we are referring to the 2,3,4, 5,6,7,8 and 9. What happens is that when you count your cards, you will have a better idea as to when you should bet a more money. If you keep track of your cards and the next card that seems due to hit is a high card, then that is the time that you want to make your bet higher.

When you make it higher, you have a better chance of winning. Again this occurs when the high card is due to be drawn.

Here is how this works. You of course start at 0. If a low card is drawn, then you add 1. If a high card is drawn you subtract 1. Don’t add or subtract, rather just stay if the card is a 7,8 or 9. If your score is positive, the high cards are due to hit. If the score is a negative, then the low cards are due to hit. Make sure that you bet when your score is a high positive number.

Now if you are just starting out playing blackjack, this might be a little hard at first. Go ahead and get a deck of cards and practice counting your cards. The more you practice, the easier it will become. So in summary, if the card is a 2,3,4,5 or 6, then you subtract
1, if the card is a 7,8 or 9 you don’t add or subtract anything. If the card is a 10, J, Q, K or A, then you add 1. Make sure that you raise your bet when the score is a positive number and it is high.

Method # 1 – Find A Solid Dealer

For this first method, you are going to have to do some testing. You will need to play at some different tables.Choose a table where the dealer is patient, has personality and does not rush the player to make a decision. You also want to take a look at the other players at the table. You want to make sure that they are not drinking to much or making too much noise. You want to play at a quieter table so that you won’t get distracted or lose your focus while you are playing.

Method #2 – Watch Your Bet Size

There are different bet size tables. There are $5, $10, and $20 tables. There are some tables where the bet is even higher.

Choose the table that will fit your win and loss limit. A good formula to follow is to play at a table where the bet is 5% of the amount that you are planning on playing.

Method #3 – The Payout

Different tables pay out their winnings at different ratios. The ratios pay out at either 3:2 or 6:5. The 3:2 ratio means that the table
pays 1.5 times your bet if you get blackjack. The 6:5 ratio means that the table pays 1.2 times the bet if you get blackjack.

Method #4 – The Game Style

There are a couple of different styles of blackjack. At some tables the dealer will hold on soft 17. At other tables, the dealer has to
hit on soft 17. You want to play at a table where the dealer holds at a soft 17.
